i am brandon todd wilson i live in kansas city, misery via summit county, colorado via kansas city (needed the snow).
i would have to say that i got into the field staring at transworld way too much. my friends were all obsessing over the tricks and the articles and i always found myself staring at the ads and the board graphics. i loved the ads, i loved the graphics, i loved how the branding of action sports (as were now called by the mainstream folks) changed constantly and most of all, i loved to rock a good logo... it meant i was part of something that only the people in the deal knew what it was about.
So i guess that is what I'm trying to do with what my art/design is keep stuff random, abstract as possible (client willing) and keep kids wanting to be a part of a brand.

i currently work with a small group of folks inside bernstein rein advertising in kansas city missouri doing interactive and online branding.
i also birthed
alycium.com, a skate snow lifestyle company with a few friends and still are working like crazy on that.

It’s my personal portfolio so all of it.
What was (is) your inspiration for this project?
The idea contrabrand loosly translated is contradicting traditional thought on branding as it has been seen as a medium rather than an idea. That idea is of course getting subjects/brands attention through whatever medium necessary.
What is in your equipment/gear setup?
mac macbook pro dual 15" and pc too for testing - but i do like the text editor on pc its based on text mate which i love. for the mac, the rest is adobe stuff for most development and design.

What advice can you share to people just getting into this field?
put your heart into it but not to much and get inspired outside of the field it helps for a fresh view.
