Behance Team
http://www.behance.com Biography
We are a bunch of designers, programmers, and entrepreneurs that want to help boost productivity and efficiency in the creative community. Our team oversees the Behance Network and conducts research, product development, and consulting initiatives - all focused on serving the creative professional community.
Where do you work? What do you do there?
We're based in New York, and in our small office space, we try to make ideas happen.
How long have you been in this field?
Our founder has been studying creative professionals for over 5 years. All of us have different backgrounds but share a passion for the work we do.
What role did (are) you play(ing) in the project?
Scott: Writer, Founder, Product/Service Development
Matias: Designer, Product/Service Development
Dave: Technology
Chris: Technology
What was (is) your inspiration for this project?
We were pretty frustrated! Great ideas are conceived and subsequently lost in the hands of creative geniuses, everyday. Frustration, rationalization, and despondence loom as creative people jump from idea, to idea, to idea... and fall short of actually making ideas happen. It is a shame that most creative breakthroughs never materialize.
Behance came together to study exceptionally productive people and teams working in the creative fields. We document the methods and resources that productive creative professionals use to push their ideas forward. And then we create products and services (namely the Behance Network) to serve the creative community.
What is in your equipment/gear setup?
Many many powerful Macs.
What are some websites you visit daily?
We enjoy all kinds of websites...hard to specify any one website! We're all over every day!
Who's work do you most enjoy?
Too tough to answer.
What advice can you share to people just getting into this field?
Serving the creative professional community requires a lot of listening and humility: you can't do it alone, you need partnerships and a lot of advice along the way...
Also, at the base of every great project, you need tremendous passion.
Any other comments?
None.
