Si Scott
http://www.siscottstudio.com Biography
I’ve always drawn for as long as I can remember and it really is the only thing that I have ever wanted to do as a profession - I left school at 16 and went straight to art college to do a btec in design and then a foundation course. Which after completing - doing a degree in design. After graduating I did the usual round of placements and worked for a couple of small design companies (learning about the industry and how to use a computer). Whilst employed I kept working on my own ideas and developing them and trying to get my foot in the door at different agencies and get my work in there.
Where do you work? What do you do there?
I work at Si Scott studio - I am a one man band! I like it that way as I am a bit of a control freak when
it comes to my work and find it really hard to let anybody else loose on it.
How long have you been in this field?
Roughly working in the field about 4 years - although I've been drawing ever since I can remember.
What role did (are) you play(ing) in the project?
I have art directed / designed and illustrated the whole Resonate series and worked with the guys from silent studio's (Nathan/Liam/Olly) on the actual idea for the series.
What was (is) your inspiration for this project?
Resonate was inspired by British wildlife and old anatomical drawings.
What is in your equipment/gear setup?
Pen on paper mostly and then scan the pieces at really hi-res and piece them together using the Mac. I like to be very hands on with my work and only use the computer to piece it together.
