Biography

With piles and piles of full sketch pads, I began my creative journey at the ripe age of 5, thanks ma. Growing up you couldn't keep me out of the art lab & every year I took at least two classes. After I graduated high school I decided I needed to figure out a way to grow and learn more about this passion of mine, and o ya, make money. That lead me to study art and design at Central Washington University.

I am a simple, peaceful person. Some may say I'm quiet but they don't really know me. I am a dreamer and always have a few project ideas floating around in my head. I am constantly learning and feeding my soul with creative art, music, and literature. I live for truth. I love my family and friends and am so thankful for everything in my life.

Where do you work? What do you do there?

I create from my cozy little home studio. Currently I design for a telecommunications company and also run a freelance business.

How long have you been in this field?

Approaching 5 years now.

What role did (are) you play(ing) in the project?

I feel this idea is much bigger than myself. One night, as I was lying in bed, it just came to me. I stayed up until 4 AM creating these posters. I felt this pull to respond to this event in my life somehow. I suppose my role in this all is to pass on words of hope and inspiration and connect with people around the world.

What was (is) your inspiration for this project?

I was recently diagnosed with cancer and have begun down the treatment road. In response to this event in my life I decided to create a poster series with some quotes that have driven close to my spirit throughout this journey. My simple goal behind this all is to spread hope, connect with others, & help out an organization I believe in. Proceeds from the poster campaign will be donated towards the Live Strong Foundation.

The initial response to this idea has been so amazing and flattering. I feel so greatfull to be involved in something like this. It's been written up in blogs around the world, a collaboration project may be in the works & the campaign support has just been amazing! Thank you to all the supporters.

What is in your equipment/gear setup?

I work on a MacBook Pro with an Apple Cinema Display.

Who's work do you most enjoy?

I enjoy work with a personal artistic feel. I also appreciate unique typography and powerful simplicity. A few designers I've been enjoying lately...
